This pamphlet provides the history and background of Honjo Yuki-tsumugi silk.
A pamphlet published by the Executive Committee of the Honjo Yuki Tsumugi Promotion Project. It promotes the attraction of Yuki Tsumugi, a nationally designated and important intangible cultural property of Ibaraki Prefecture, to preserve the history and background of Honjo Yuki Tsumugi in printed materials using photographs and text.
The layout focuses on the communication of activities, with the emphasis on informing the reader through design, as well as through photography and text. The aim of the booklet is to support the local community by conveying a fresh perspective on manufacturing, rather than using the same old expressions. The idea is to compile regional character and culture and support the continuity of manufacturing.
